Demonstration

I invite you to watch over my shoulder as i create a painting. I hope you enjoy following along check back to see the painting progress. The painting being demonstrated is a commissioned painting.

The first step in creating a piece is to decide the subject matter. In this case it was decide by the person who commissioned the piece. In this case it is a floral consisting of red, orange, yellow and purple flowers with green leaves and and dark/navy blue background. Working with in these parameters I set out searching my reference photos for flowers that fit the criteria. These are some of the ones I came up with.
